Garden of Eden The ultimate vision of paradise on earth, this work represents research from the original narrrative of the Old Testament. Dominated in the foreground by the Tree of life, depicting some of the twelve different fruits that would grow on the tree; to the Tree of Knowledge wherein lies the serpent. Between the two trees is an odd looking rock, which is the onyx stone mentioned in the biblical narrative. The peace and serenity are emphasized by the congeniality of the individual animals that comingle. Because this is before the flood of Noah, there are no clouds shown in the sky and the watering is done by the rivers and continuous mists, This parting also shows the light from the darkness before Adam and Eve were created. |
